Best chicken/sides in the city hands down. LOVE Revival!!!
Whole Bird
It may be a whole bird, and yet this mountain of fried chicken leaves my family wanting more every single time. It's impeccably seasoned; the crust is delightfully crunchy; the meat is succulently tender (yes, even the breast!); and every other fried chicken will disappoint you in some way or another after you've had this.
Burnt Ends 1/2 pound
There aren't many places with burnt ends on the menu every day (even a place like Joe's in Kansas City only has them rarely), so I figured this dish must be there with a high degree of confidence. They were excellent, with a smoky flavor and well-seasoned. I'm glad I tried them and would get them on another visit... but my spouse's chicken sandwich looked too good not to try it for myself next time.
Street Style Brussels
We tried the Street Style Brussels which is outside of our normal go to apps (fried green tomatoes and beats) and we were pleasantly surprised how delicious this dish tasted. My spouse makes amazing brussels at home so we rarely order them in restaurants but decided to give the Steet Style a shot. It has a similar taste profile to the street style corn we have had at other venues and paired very well with the brussels and we will be ordering these again.
Chopped Brisket Sandwich
This is one of the best things on the menu. They do not skimp on the brisket and the cheese and pickles give the sandwich the extra something it needs to make it even more great!
Single Burger
This may have been the best burger I have ever eaten (please don't tell my husband). Simple, yet full of flavor and immense satisfaction. We also got the cheese curds (ooey, gooey goodness dripping in light honey) and the banana cream pie (recommended by a couple on their way out). Lastly, our server, Amanda was super friendly. Our only regret was that we couldn't come back again to try other menu items. We both want to return to Minneapolis so that we can do just that.
Pork Shoulder 1/2 pound
I recently ordered the 1/2 pound pork shoulder - only because the full pound option was unavailable. It's everything you're looking for: impeccably seasoned, fall-apart tender, and goes well both by itself, or with your carb of choice (rice, potatoes are both excellent options). Drizzle some vinegar sauce on it for extra elevation - you won't regret it!
Whole Bird
The whole bird, Tennessee Hot, is a must-have for big groups with big appetites! Perfect combination of crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right balance of spicy and sweet. I get it every time!
